Urban Apothecary Supernatural Mineral Powder
One of my recent advertisers on A Girl’s Gotta Spa! was Urban Apothecary. They offered a can’t-pass-up special that lead me to purchase their Supernatural Mineral Powder. I haven’t used pressed powder in a very long time and I was a little nervous about picking the right color for me. I went with Tender, which ended up being perfect for my skin tone.
Urban Apothecary has very fast shipping; I had my products within 5 days of ordering. When I opened my package, I was very pleasantly surprised at how big the compact was. I definitely felt it was a generous size for the price ($38), bigger than the average compact offering more product for the money.
The compact has two compartments. One for the mineral powder and another to hold the sponge to apply it with. It also has a good sized mirror, as well.

Urban Apothecary Supernatural Mineral Powder Foundation:
Experience a unique mineral packed powder with ‘light as a feather’, buildable texture. Unlike traditional powder, Supernatural Mineral Powder incorporates state-of-the-art technology to give adjustable coverage in a lighter weight luminescent powder. Think miracle multi-tasker. Powder. Foundation. Concealer. Sunscreen. SPF 8. Experience the Supernatural phenomena.
This powder is definitely feather light and offers a great matte look, especially in my T-zone. It gives “buildable” coverage, in that a once over will give you more of a transluscent powder look, but a second pat will give you color to match your skin tone, concealing uneveness and giving you that perfect look. I also love that this powder has a SPF of 8. I definitely made the right choice to purchase it.

OMG Shannon, I also bought their mineral foundation! The shade I bought for myself was too dark for me :(

Hi Juliet,
I really just took a good guess. I held my arm up to my computer screen against the shades they had and it appeared that Tender matched best. :)

I can’t stand pressed powder anymore, I used to use it all the time. My skin is oily and it just made it look cakey and gross…I’m a total loose, mineral powder convert.
