Twisted Fayte Radiate Cream

I have been sitting on this little gem since the beginning of December. Do you know how hard it was not to write about it? However, I had no choice because it was top secret over at Twisted Fayte and I had to keep this all to myself until its launch.

Thankfully, this product, along with 2 other products I received, launched yesterday. Finally I can tell you how much I love it!

This mineral makeup is a highlighting cream. The one I received was in Radiate, which is a sheer nude pearl. It has more shine and shimmer than this picture gives it justice. I have only used this as an eyeshadow base. However, in writing this post I found that it can be used as a highlighter and even over your entire face.

From the website:

Use these lightweight waterbased creams in conjunction with your moistuizer. Each of the three colors we created is blended with subtle light-reflecting micas, chamomile to soothe your skin, and just a touch of aloe. Just a tiny dap of these either all over your face or just as a highlight on cheek bones gives a color payoff with a hint of an etherial glow. For a little added versatility, the Radiate Creams can be applied lightly on your eye lids as a soft and gentle base for your pigments. Simply use your ring finger to gently press a tiny of amount on to your lids and layer your pigments over them. No creasing, and no heavy feeling on your eyes means you never have to re-touch your eye makeup during the day!

The cream appears thick in the jar, but I found that I only needed to use a small amount to cover my lid and eye area. It didn’t feel heavy and I found that my mineral pigments simply clung to it, making it last longer throughout the day. As the website says, there was no creasing at all.

The cream also provides a light shimmer, so if you apply a matte pigment over it, you will get some shine. It was pretty and not over the top. As I look at her site, I may purchase Enlighten, which is a sheer pearl with a hint of golden copper. My eyes are hazel and copper just seems to make them pop.

Twisted Fayte’s Radiate Creams are $12.

How similar is this in consistency, compared to a MAC paint pot? It looks very soft, and I’m a sucker for shimmer.

Oh that’s such a bummer! I was psyched about their products! Guess I’ll stick to the MAC paint pots :)

I’m so sad it’s not in business anymore! Those prices blew me away, and I was gonna’ ask about comparability to paint pots and the like, lol. Oh wells. too bad.
