Travel Beauty
I’m writing to you from my hotel room in Times Square NYC. It sure is noisy here–but what a great hotel! It got me thinking about the makeup and beauty products I packed for the trip. I realized that the products I put into my makeup bag for traveling isn’t just haphazardly selected, but instead it subconsciously is really what I consider my must-have’s and favorite products. So I snapped a picture for you, so you can see what I’ve taken on my journey to the land of expensive taxi’s.
Left to right: Aroma Floria Honey Papaya Body Butter, Nexxus Color Assure Shampoo, MAC Mineralize Skin Finish, MAC Orpheus eyeliner, Elizabeth Arden Kohl Powder Pencil, Prescriptives custom blend concealer, foundation and powder, Korres Pomegranate Balancing Moisturizer, MAC Royal Assets, Earth Therapeutics Ceramic Brush, Korres Jasmin Makeup Remover, Elizabeth Arden Intensive Hand Moisturizing Cream, Billy B Beauty Paintbrushes, Alterna Caviar Hair Spray, Prescriptives Here to Stay 24 Hour mascara, Prescriptives The Illuminator, MAC Painterly Paint Pot, MAC Viva Glam Lipgloss, Sensodyne ProNamel Toothpaste, Graham Webb Stick Straight, Dove Ultimate Clear and MAC Mattene lipstick.
Do you find that when you pack for travel that you do the same? Or do you simply throw in the easiest products to use–or what simply fits into your suitcase?

You did a great job of packing!
I’ve been traveling a lot, and I have to be honest, in the decision between checking a bag vs. carrying on, carry-on always wins for time’s sake. That means I have to be ultra super selective about the hair products I bring, thanks to the silly airport rules that seem to change every time I fly. I really wish more companies would put out travel-size versions of their haircare/styling products!!

i tend to go for palettes too, they travel very easily and are least likely to get damaged. Alot of companies, lately, have released little travel jars to store things in as well.

i always bring my current faves & keep my skincare in travel sizes too. that way i just grab my current faves & toss them into my prepacked (with my daily staples in travel containers) makeup bag & go

whenever i travel, i pack all my stuff in plastic bags. packing is easier since my make up is now mostly mineral make up and in jars. of course i pack my estee lauder concealer and my different lipglosses. all my brushes go in a bag along with my mascara. basically, i bring my whole routine!
