tarte is Pretty in Pink for breast cancer

by Shannon on September 28th, 2006

For the month of October, tarte cosmetics will donate 20% of proceeds from the “Pretty in Pink” collection to the Young Survival Coalition, a support network for women under 40 living with breast cancer.

During that month, tarte cosmetics will also have an online guest columnist discuss her experience as a breast cancer survivor. She’ll blog about her diagnosis and chemotherapy experience, offer helpful beauty tips for those undergoing treatments, and most importantly she’ll give women of all ages a sense of hope.

i love anything involved with helping to fight against breast cancer. my mother is a survivor and we love seeing products with a pink purpose when we go cosmetics shopping. =)

I absolutely love it when pink signifies more than just a perfect makeup shade, and also connotes a larger, political message around breast cancer awareness.

One of my best friends died of breast cancer, so I’ll buy any product that supports women suffering with this disease.
