Tarte Cosmetic’s New Vitamin Infused Lipstick For Breast Cancer Awareness
Clear the runway–Maureen Kelly & Scott Vincent Borba have done it again: they’ve created lipstick that’s actually good for you! Similar to tarte’s Inside Out glosses, tarte’s long-lasting lipstick beautifies you on the outside, while BORBA’s age-defying nutraceutical blend beautifies you on the inside. This is the first-ever lipstick that will nourish, moisturize and rejuvenate lips while helping to protect against environmental attack.
inside out vitamin-infused lipstick and core include:
- Preservative-free and paraben-free
- Grape seed extract & Vitamin C help accelerate production of natural elastin, protecting skin against free-radical damage & restore skin’s clarity
- Chamomile extract soothes skin and helps to counteract redness
tarte’s skinvigorating lipstick ingredients:
- Jojoba, shea butter and beeswax nourishes, moisturizes and conditions lips
Borba’s age-defying nutraceutical cocktail core:
- Acai & green tea extract help strengthen capillary walls, reduce epidermal irritation and enhance skin’s clarity and radiance
- Vitamins A & E act as antioxidants to give you that healthy glow
- Clinically tested formula-lipstick with antioxidants and other vitamins & minerals can help diminish the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles
During the month of October, 20 percent of the retail sales (or $4.40/lipstick) will go to the Young Survival Coalition, www.youngsurvival.org. During QVC’s Pink Ribbon Show in October 2007 and on qvc.com, 20 percent of the retail sales will go to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation.

Nope, not yet. I do have their nutraceutical lip gloss though. I may just have to ask the powers that be for a sample of the lipstick… ;)

You know, there are loads of harmful chemicals in lipsticks and lipglosses, and a lot of people believe that your lips can become addicted to them. If that happens your lips will always feel dry unless you put something on them.
What do you think of the Morgan Schick lipstick range? She was a top model at one point, check it out http://www.luminouslips.com/?p=117

Hi Talia, nice to see another beauty blogger stop by. ;)
I’ve never heard of Morgan Schick so I’ve never tried her lipsticks, I’ll have to go check her out.

How good for you can makeup truly be? Sometimes I think it’s just marketing and they’re just trying to profit from the surge in health concious consumers. I do love tarte though…so I can’t completely be a hater.

The thing is, bad for you or not, we’re still gonna be wearing lipstick. Might as well use something that can boasts about being good and having some ingrediants to back it up right?
I’m really impressed that they’ve listed ACAI as an ingrediant. Acai is supposed to be one of those miracle fruits that are loaded with goodies for your body. Look out for coffeeberry! that’s supposed to be the next discovery
