Revlon Eyeglide Shimmer Shadow

by Shannon on May 10th, 2007

revlon eyeglide shimmer shadowThe Revlon Eyeglide Shimmer Shadow is reminiscent of e.l.f.’s Moisture Care Lip Color with the twist tube and cushiony-soft tip. You twist the tube and small globlets of color pop up for you to glide on.

I bought mine in Sandstone, which is a beautiful goldenfleck color. Although on Revlon’s website, they make it appear brown (it doesn’t look like the color shown at all). The picture here to the left is Jade, which is a light green color.

The directions say you’ll see the globlets after 10 full twists, but it was more like 20. Once the color pops through, you simply take the tube and swipe it across your lids. I tried it immediately when I got home. It was about 85 degrees out still and I found that after a few hours it rubbed off.

I used it again today, this time with Lemon Aid on my lids and this made a big difference in keeping the product in place. It did feel “wet” for a few hours, but then became less so as time went on. I can’t say that it has a “powdery feel” as it describes on the package.

Despite all of this, I really like Revlon’s Eyeglide. So simple to apply and the Sandstone makes my hazel eyes look gorgeous. Its gold color really brings out the flecks of gold in my eyes. Today I wore it on my lids and along my brow bone. Then I applied Lumiere Mineral Makeup’s Driftwood color in my crease, tarte’s Lights Camera Lashes on my eyelashes along with their Mineral Powder Bronzer on my face and I had that sunkissed look going on.

While this is a great product, I do recommend wearing a primer on your lids to keep it in place.

I can’t find the Revlon Eyeglide Shimmer Shadow
I tried all the sites you mention above and none of those stores carry the Revlon EyeGlide Shimer Shadow. Are you sure we are talking about the same product? I sent an e-mail to Revlon, but they didn’t get back to me and this is the only shadow that works for me the entire day. I am desperate!

I sent Revlon an e-mail also. I work at Walgreens and the eyeglides got clearanced about a year ago. I think they might be discontinued… :-(

Revlon confirmed to me they are disontinued. I found some at Big Lots but not the color I wanted (Champagne). Revlon gave me 3 phone numbers for companies to call that might have it in stock.
The toll-free store numbers are Oxford, NC 888-882-5629, Apex, NC 866-447-5412 and Phoenix, AZ 888-465-5592.
The Oxford store didn’t have Champagne but the Apex location had some. I did not try the 3rd number. I hope that helps!

The one thing about these products is I never know how to clean the brushes! I mean I guess I could use a brush to get the makeup, but it’s much more convienent to just use the pen right? I don’t want to get water or soap in the makeup…what do you suggest Shannon?

I just found these on an Australian site http://www.brandnamesdirect.com.au they have about 5 different shades, including my favourite caramel crush.
    Good luck!
