Pro Pigment by Urban Apothecary
When I purchased my Supernatural Mineral Powder, the great deal offered by Urban Apothecary was that I would receive a Pro Pigment for free. It was a $16 value and I was completely excited to try something new.
I chose Czarina for my Pro Pigment, which on the website looked like a combination of pinks and purples. These are colors that make my hazel eyes look more green than brown, so I was all for it.
Just like the Supernatural Mineral Powder, the size of this Pro Pigment was very generous. I would even gander to say that there is enough pigment to last me probably 9 months. The container also comes with a built in sifter, so that you don’t get too much pigment on your brush and also great for clumsy people like me who often drop and spill things.
I was surprised, however, that the color I received did not look like the color on the website. My Czarina was more fushia pink with some purples and golds in it than what appeared on the website as a lighter pink with purples and beige. Not that this was a bad thing, but just not the color I expected.
I took a deep breath and decided to try it on my lower lid and was pleasantly surprised that it did not appear as fushia at all. It was a very pretty light pink with some shimmer and it looked great. I paired it with Golden pigment along my brow line and a lavender-ish purple along my crease. It all looked outstanding. Not too 1980’s, even though that look is back, but just very flattering on my face.
The pigment holds well and overall I am very happy with it. While I believe this Pro Pigment was only for their special, they do have some outstanding pigments in their makeup line that I am sure are just as good.

I originally bought Stud Muffin. I *love* this color! It looks great and wears really nicde. The shop had a great sale and I purchase five more shades. I really recommend the Haute Chocolate, a warm, creamy brown with subtle bronze and gold flecks— very holidayish. I also really love Dolce a sweet and sassy peachish pink with silver, opal shimmer- brilliant!

This looks pretty. I always have issues buying online because of color discrepency issues. I’m glad it worked in your favor this time!

The color looks a little funny in the picture to be honest with you. I wouldn’t wear it.

I don’t know much about Urban Apothecary but I’ve seen these pigments on eBay for less than what the MAC ones go for so maybe they’re worth a try.
