Nars Alhambra Eyeshadow Duo
When I was reading about Nars Spring 08 colors on several of my favorite beauty blogs, I really couldn’t wait to get my hands on their Alhambra Eyeshadow Duo. Now that I have it, I’m unsure about what I think about it on me.
The creamy gold and peach color look great side by side in the compact, but on my skin tone then seem to blend in a bit. I think if my skin were a little tanned it might stand out more. The gold tone doesn’t seem to really stand out so much in the crease although when I look at this picture of my eye, I think it all looks so pretty.
Oh and how about my lashes? Good God I didn’t realize they looked so long until I took this picture. I used CoverGirl Lash Blast (maybe I need to re-do that review and upgrade from average to fabulous).
Anyhow, what do you think of Nars’ Alhambra seeing it from compact to lid?

I agree that you can not really see the colors on your eyelid, and that your eyelashes look fabulous! In the compact the colors look wonderful. I probably would have bought this also, and been a little disappointed with the colors.

You can tell there’s some shimmer there, but it’s barely noticeable. Too bad since these colors look so pretty. I’m also fairly light skinned, so i’m guessing i’ll get the same results.

what if you reversed the colors? gold base, peach crease? i have a feeliing it may work with a little extra punch to the peach :) if it doesn’t try adding a little more of a saturated warm tone into the peach crease that way you wouldn’t have to stare at a wasted purchase. hope you love it again!
