MAXwear Lip Color

Today I received a package choc full of products from Max Factor. Like any good lipgloss junkie, I immediately set my eyes on their new MAXwear Lip Color.

The MAXwear Lip Color is a two part system. First you apply the lip color that is a flexible stain of sorts and then you apply the gloss. I say flexible stain, because it is an 8 hour smudge-proof lip color, although it feels nothing like a lipstain. It’s flexible and works with your lips. While it is not thick, it gives the look of freshly applied lipstick even hours after applying it.

I love that the gloss is a somewhat different shade and blended with the lipcolor, creates a whole new color. The gloss itself is great, as well. Not too thick or thin and just enough sparkle to make your lips shine.

I received Topaz Tonic, which is pink; Mauve Sequence, which is mauve; and Chartreuse Blend, which is a dark purple with an apple green gloss. My favorite is the Mauve Sequence, but I really love the Chatreuse Blend. Although it looked too dark on me now as I fade back to my original pale skin, I know that this will be a rocking color on me in the summer when my skin is glowing with a beautiful tan.

I, of course, put the Lip Color through the ringer, chatting up a storm with friends who ate over for dinner, sipping my ice tea and eating burgers fresh off the grill. I thought for sure that my Lip Color would not make it through all of that, but it did. My gloss had simply come off, but the Lip Color itself remained intact and only needed a quick touch up of gloss and my lips looked as they did hours before when I first applied the Lip Color. This is a really great Lip Color and they offer a lot of colors to choose from.
