Lola Refine Shine Anti-Shine Gel
The Lola Anti-Shine Gel was one of the samples I chose to come with my recent Sephora purchase. I’m always on the hunt for the perfect anti-shine product–one that will mattify but also be long lasting.
Unfortunately this anti-shine gel didn’t do much mattifying to suit my needs. The sample gave me about 3 uses and I applied the gel to my shinest areas; around my nose, my cheeks and my forehead. It did do some slight mattifying, but nothing substantial and certainly nothing that lasted a very long time.
I was disappointed since Lola Cosmetics has some really cute looking products, but sometimes when I have a less than stellar experience the first time I try a brand, I am always hesitant to try anything else.
Have you used this product? Did it render you the same results?

I really like Mary Kay’s Oil Mattifier. I promise I don’t sell it, and I don’t use anything else from that line (in case you were wondering… ;-)
It’s only $15 or so. Give it a try!

Unfortunately, I don’t think there is any miracle product…yet! I just saw on E! Red Carpet Secrets that other people use toilet seat covers at blotting papers also! Even the rich and famous use it! Sweet.

I always find that applying more product always makes me shinier/oilier…regardless of its claims. Blotting paper all the way!

Lorac has something similar that I got as a free sample from a Sephora order once. It’s heaven on the t-zone for mattifying.
