Fusion Beauty: LipFusion Color Shine
Fusion Beauty’s LipFusion Color Shine is considered the next generation of lip plumpers. Most of the lip plumpers I have been trying lately use an irritant to swell your lips…although they did more irritating than swelling.
So when I received a gift card to DermStore.com I decided it was my chance to give LipFusion a try. I’ve heard a lot about Fusion Beauty products and had been pining for their LashFusion, LiftFusion Facelift and the LipFusion.
What makes LipFusion different from the others? They say they use “breakthrough technology that uses tiny, dehydrated, marine collagen microspheres, which seek out the body’s natural moisture. As soon as the spheres become re-hydrated, they swell and hold onto the moisture creating a perfect plump of the lip tissue.” They also say it lasts up to 48 hours.
So did it work?
When I applied my LipFusion (in Sugar) I noticed a unique sensation in my lips. Not tingling or burning, not even stinging…yet you could feel that something was going on in those lips. By minute 3 my lips felt numb, however, that numbness only lasted about 10 minutes. I’ve heard from people who have used LiftFusion that they have felt this same effect when they used it on their forehead. When I looked in the mirror, those lines that I used to have on my lips were beginning to disapate. I could see a fullness in my lips and plumping pushing the wrinkled skin out of existance.
While I wasn’t too excited about the numbness, at least it didn’t last so long. Now, the only thing that didn’t happen was that the plumping didn’t last 48 hours. It lasted maybe an hour or two at most. Of course, if I wanted to replump, I just applied more gloss.
Worth the $38? I say yes.
Have you tried it? What did you think?

I am a huge fan of the lip fusion line and yes, it is worth the $38! and Dawn, if your husband would flip over the $38 lip gloss, ask him how much he spends on the stuff he loves, like coffee or things like that, you’ll get your way and trust me, it’s worth it. Physicians Formula just launched a new line of lip plumpers that are only about $10 so try those too.

I agree with KC, Dawn; its worth it. Just put aside a little each week to save up and buy it. :)

Ricinus Communis Seed Oil might be what is causing the numbness. I wouldn’t take it lightly.

I have tried it and I liked it well enough, it’s certainly not perfect though but then what lip plumper is? The colors are really nice though and I actually like the consistency as well.

Holy mackeral, 38 bucks for gloss? For people who hate the stinging, this could be the HG however. Me, i don’t mind a little pain as long as i get results!
I have tried this at Sephora, but because I didn’t see it plump up right away, I wiped it off and tried another one. Hey, Sephora just puts me in a frenzy! haha

Since lip fusion is so expensive I’ve never jumped on that train, but the colors are so pretty… yeah. I imagine I’ll be taking that plunge sometime soon.

Waaay to expensive for me. Luckily not for my sis, so I tried hers. Great gloss color, but that’s about it. Weird sensation but not much plumping action.

lip fusion is amazing, ive been in the beauty biz for 17 years now & i am so picky. i try lots of stuff but not everything does what it claims… this stuff does tho. i recieved a sample size & threw it on my lips real quick before i started driving from the mall, thinking to myself… “hmmm… this feels nice, at least my lips feel good.” i didnt expect anything to happen at all. at a stop light i glanced in the rear view & did a double take…. i actually saw my lips looking fuller than they were 5 minutes prior. ive been hooked since. truely i recommend this stuff highly
