Elizabeth Arden Intervene Makeup SPF 15

Most times I hate before and after shots. I procrastinated on this review simply because I hate people seeing me without makeup, but thanks to my fabulous photographer (my 8 year old son Gavin) and Elizabeth Arden’s Intervene Makeup–I have to say I look pretty darn good.

Intervene is the newest liquid makeup (or foundation as I call it) from Elizabeth Arden that is oil free and is dually makeup and skincare.

“This new liquid makeup with Biodormin™ skincare benefits helps put a pause on aging signs. Micro-mineral pigment technology smooths away imperfections for brighter, even-toned skin, as it delivers all day coverage, color-true shades, and a soft natural finish.”

I’d definitely say from this before and after shot that the color is true to my skin tone evening it out and covering away my skin’s imperfections all the while looking natural. The color I chose was Soft Shell. I didn’t apply any powder atop Intervene so that you could get a true feel for how it looks on your skin. I did apply a slight amount of blush though. I didn’t apply any concealer under my eyes, either, and I think it’s amazing just looking at these pictures side by side the difference of my under eye area.

Intervene is $36 and available at www.shop.elizabetharden.com

So you see the before and after shots–what do you think? Does Intervene live up to its claims (I resoundingly say yes)? Have you given it a try yourself?

Your before and after photos really speak volumes on what this foundation can do! Your skin looks amazing!

I recently got to try Intervene as well and I really enjoyed it. I don’t normally wear foundation, but this one is light enough for me to wear on a daily basis which is great! :)

i’m on a ‘perfect foundation’ hunt. I’ve tried several types of MAC, two from Lancome, and one from Estee Lauder. I think Elizabeth Arden is next! It looks so fresh and natural and sheer-but-clarifying on you.

Wow! I’ve been using Prescriptives…and I’m on the fence about it.
What brush did you apply this with?
Does this come in an oil control version?

Quynh, I used Billy’s B’s Foundation Paintbrush to apply Intervene. You can see my review of his brushes here: http://www.makeupminute.com/the-review-billybbeauty-paint-brushes

I believe Intervene is oil-free. I have combination skin and as you can see in my after photo, I don’t look shiny at all.

It does have an SPF of 15 and looks just as great at night as the time I put it on during the day. :)

it does look good. My friend has tried it and she also thinksa it’s great. I’m not a real fan of liquid foundation since i’m horrible at applying it. I just can’t get it. Any tips?

I’ve seen lots of bloggers trying Intervene lately - they are promoting it HARD, but everyone’s results have turned out amazing and yours is maybe the 4th or 5th I’ve seen. Maybe I’ll get a sample from Liz Arden’s here sometime soon. I love that it seems weightless, I hate heavy foundations and I’m always looking for foundations w/ good SPF. My everyday is Estee Lauder’s doublewear but it only has an SPF of 10.

Ashley Samantha, I just tried Estee Lauder’s doublewear, and will also be getting a sample of this Intervene. I’ll also be trying out Clinique’s perfectly real foundation. Please let me know what you think! All opinions help out!

Your after looks fab. I personally use CLinique tinted moisturizer SPF 40. 40?! Yes, it’s the highest one I can find and hopefully it’ll keep me looking fab just like you!

I am delighted with this product. I llove the fact that it has the Biodormin™ skincare benefits helps put a pause on aging signs. I also like the Micro-mineral pigment technology which smooths away imperfections for brighter, even-toned skin.

They say you might as well wear a make up that has an anti-aging in it. This make up blends so swell and lasted all day long. The only down side for me is it, even they say it’s hydrating, this MakeUp felt a little drying on my skin even when I wear my Prevage abd Clinique moisturizers. I have to see after a few more weeks of using it.

All in all, I’m a fan and lastly, I’d like to emphasize the anti-aging benefits from it. So it’s all good.
