Coastal Scents Glossi Glazes & Concealer A

by Shannon on June 30th, 2007

When Coastal Scents alerted me of their free samples a few days ago, I got a little caught up looking through their website. And fabulously enough, today I got to try their Glossi Glaze and Concealer A.

lipglossieglazeThe Glossi Glaze is pretty unqiue. Their website states that it can go between being a lip gloss and a lipstick. It comes in a glass jar and it is a thick “balm” that you can apply with your lip brush or finger. I didn’t have a lip brush available, so I just used my finger. You rub your finger atop the balm until it beings to “melt” a little from your body heat and then you apply. Amazingly enough, it glides on your lips like gloss yet looks like a shimmery lipstick. I received mine in Bare Naked Glaze, which is simply beautiful. It is perfect for when you want to do a no makeup or even sunkissed look. The bonus is how moisturizing it is. No wait–the true bonus is the fact that this Glossi Glaze is only $5! You can buy the glazes separate, but they also sell two sets: In the Tans and In the Pinks, which come with 3 glazes, a lip brush and mica shimmer for only around $20.

Concealer AConcealer A has convinced me that mineral concealer can work just as good as regular concealer. I applied it to half my face just to see if I could notice a difference. Sure enough, the splotchy skin I have appeared more even toned. Concealer A is a pure pigment powder and you don’t need to load it on to work; a small amount brushed on will do. A 3 gram jar is only $8.95! They do sell a sample of it for just $2 if you want to test it out first.

I love the flexibility and control you get with mineral make up. It is positively addictive, especially when you start making your own blends!

I love Coastalscents - the entire mineral makeup line. It’s light enough for summer that you won’t feel your face getting cakey at all. :) The Concealer A works great, considering it’s dark! :)

Again with Coastal Scents…never heard of it. Is it all mineral makeup?
