Cheek Stains
I have used lip stains, which can be a blessing or a curse depending on if you screw up or if the color looks hideous on you or not. However, I have never used cheek stains. I assume they work in the same way, but I am wondering: how long do they last, are they easily workable or look like a big streak, how do you apply them and how easy are they to take off?
I often hear rave reviews about tarte’s cheek stains, so for anyone who has used cheek stains, please tell me your pros and cons to using them.

I love, love, LOVE tarte’s cheekstains! I just received my first one at Christmas (true love), and I use it on the weekends for a nice “no makeup” flush, and during the week on the apples of my cheeks with my fave bronzer. I can’t wait to try more colors! They are not greasy, are easy to apply and work in, and they smell yummy. Also, it takes so little to get a nice color that one full size one should last quite a long time. I highly recommend you try them, Shannon!

I’ve used Tarte’s Flush cheek stain off and odd for years.
I wear it over foundation, and apply with either a brush or sponge. NEVER fingers — way too messy. I blend, and then blend some more, and it looks like I have a nice flush all over my face.
Start sparingly. It doesn’t take a lot of product.

I’ve never tried Tarte, but from what I know they are a jell based (”solid”) stain. I have tried the liquids that have sort of a finger nail polish applicator to them. My suggestion is not to use your fingers, they will be more colorful than your cheeks for the rest of the day. I’m guess this holds true if the stain is “solid” or liquid.

there is a fantastic review on msnewbeauty.blogspot.com about tarte’s cheekstains. i personally only use them when im going through my good skin phases. if i have any acne, it tends to look a bit yucky and greasy. and if you buy them, just get the mini sized ones! they last soooo longg

I have tried them, but at times find it hard to apply. I have one at home that i love. Does anyone have any tips on application?

I think Tipsy’d be my favorite color, it gives such a pretty flush. You can glam it up or make it look natural.
