Besame Cosmetics Delightful Rose

A few days ago a surprise came in the mail. I ~~like~~ love surprises. Especially when it is a surprise package from Besame Cosmetics. They sent me their new Delightful Rose Balancing Moisturizer with Rose Extract. Balancing Moisturizer? I wondered. I’m a girl with combination skin that is the bane of my existance, so I was intrigued to find out more about this product.

What it says it does:

Besame Delightful Rose Balance Moisturizing Lotion is specially formulated with natural botanical oils and rose extract to help promote and maintain soft, smooth, and youthful looking skin. It is antioxidant-enriched with vitamins to nourish the skin for a healthy, hydrated complexion. Wonderfully light, it creates a perfect canvas before every make-up application.

I opened the bottle to a wonderful and very realistic fragrance of roses. It brought back memories of the very first bouquet of roses I received when I was 17 from my first “real” boyfriend. It is a very lovely and romantic scent.

The lotion is very lightweight, which is not surprising, since I feel that all of Besame’s cosmetics are lightweight. This lotion doesn’t feel greasy, either.

My typical routine is to put my moisturizer on and then dry my hair, so that I can let the moisturizer absorb and also so that if there are any excess oils, I can blot them before putting on my makeup. I was shocked and surprisingly happy to see my skin’s reaction to this moisturizer. Balancing it is! Where my face typically has such a shine to it and requires blotting, I did not have to do that step in my makeup routine. Which, any cosmetic that can save me time, well you have me at hello.

As I applied my makeup, I was just loving how well everything went into place. No blotting required, no oil grabing my powder and eyeshadow. I love it! My skin feels soft and the scent is not overpowering.

This product definitely lived up to its expectations.
