Beautygram From Glamour
My very beautiful friend Andrea over at Glamour Magazine has a new weekly newsletter she emails out called “Beautygram.” Heh. It was because of this Beautygram that we weren’t able to meet up when I was in the city for Fashion Week (deadlines, deadlines, deadlines). Still, seeing the finished product, I am impressed as always and wanted to tell my fellow beauty addicts all about it so you can subscribe yourself.
Hopefully Andrea doesn’t mind, but here are a few snippets from her celeb hair and makeup trends Beautygram:
Full, natural brows are back
I hear that makeup artists have been pleading with models to let their brows grow in–evidently, overplucking is rampant (over at the 3.1 Phillip Lim show, Nars makeup artist Ayako took a stance by drawing in hairs with brow pencil). If you need to fill in sparse areas, use a pencil in a shade slightly lighter than your own hair hue and hold the pencil at an angle so you’re drawing from its side, not the point–it’ll look more real.
How green is your makeup bag?
Eco-friendly beauty news keeps hitting my desk; I’m especially digging the trend toward less plastic, more paper. The new Organic Wear line from Physicians Formula, hitting Wal-Mart and Target practically as I type, features the prettiest paper compacts and eco-cert stamping (it means the makeup itself is 100 percent natural). At the launch event, I met Discovery Channel Green lifestyle expert Sara Snow, who told me about biodegradable cosmetics packaging with embedded seeds you can actually plant, like Cargo’s PlantLove lipsticks and Pure & Natural Cleansing Bar (sold at Wal-Mart and Target).
Since I am not a big fan of plagarism, there’s lots more to these beautygram’s than this–so head over to Glamour and sign up for Andrea’s weekly tips! (Oh and while you are there, be sure to check out her blog!)

Sorry… but I’m a victim of overplucking. I’m trying to make them grow back now (thanks to Anastasia Nu Brow Serum).

One of my friends was just agonizing to me how hard it is to grow her brows out for that natural look. Thanks for the heads up on this, it’s tres helpful.
