Paris, January 2nd, 2008 - Lancôme has the immense pleasure to announce the future arrival of American actress Anne Hathaway as new ambassador for the brand.

Certainly not a choice of beauty, because there are much more beautiful girls out there. I think its a choice of attitude, ellegance and success. And I believe was a good choice!

I really want to see Lancome promote a fierce woman of color for their fragrances/makeup. Anne is pretty, but she just doesn’t connect to me.

I love Ann HAthaway. I think she is a natural beauty. She always looks stunning and her eyes, OMG those eyes. They always look so big in a good way.

I was super excited when I first heard this, I’m a huge fan of both Lancome and Miss Hathaway’s. I think her ads are going to be beautiful. There is something in the way that she carries herself that makes me think she’s a great choice - plus she gets a (great) makeover in almost all her movies! LOL, I think there’s about her that calls out to the “girly girl” in me.

i think she is going to be fantastic for lancome! julie i also agree with you, i would love to see a woman of color for lancome. i always think of halle as a strong, beautiful, classic & brilliant woman with an amazing image, lancome would be a great match.

She’s one of the most gorgeous young actresses out there now. The perfect new face for Lancome…fresh and natural but with a purely classic style.
